The Saint Vincent Athletic Department will host a special event in conjunction with the men's basketball game on Saturday, Jan. 30, in the Robert S. Carey Student Center. The late Bernie Matthews, who coached the Bearcats for 33 years, will be honored before the game with a special Mass, along with the dedication of the Bernie Matthews Team Meeting Room in the Carey Center. Matthews' family and former players will then be recognized at halftime of the game against Geneva College, which tips off at 6:00 p.m.
